Does Insurance Cover Chiropractic?
Generally speaking, Alberta Health does not cover chiropractic services. In some circumstances, like after a car accident or for seniors over 65, you may be able to get some coverage.
Otherwise, your employee health benefits or private insurance may cover some chiropractic care. We encourage you to speak with your benefits coordinator about what’s available to you.
It’s not uncommon for insurance companies to cover chiropractic as a treatment for symptoms. But Fish Creek Chiropractic takes a different approach to chiropractic care.
We use chiropractic to correct and mitigate underlying issues. This course of treatment may take more time and appointments than your insurance company is willing to cover. But that should not be a barrier to your overall health.
In our experience, once patients have undergone our initial recommended treatments, they often consider the cost a worthwhile investment in their health.
Please note that Fish Creek Chiropractic does not offer direct billing. We will be happy to provide you with a receipt, which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
